Benoît Bruère is a Portuguese-French filmmaker with an interest in exploring unconventional narratives. He graduated in production, cinema and multimedia communication in Paris and Lisbon. He works in fiction, documentary and animation, both in film as well as television and advertising.

He has directed and produced several independent projects in Portugal and France, including the short film "The Guardian’s Window", which won 2nd place for Best Fiction at the "3 in 1 Festival", and the documentary "Ludovina", selected for the "Entre Olhares" festival and awarded with an honorable mention in the "SWIFF" 2022. He also produced the French short film "À Mourir de Rire", by Patrick Levasseur, winner of the Best Photography award at the "Sun Film Festival" 2023.

As a technician, he was part of international project teams such as the Netflix film "Heart of Stone", starring Gal Gadot, and the series "Turn on the tide". He worked on stop-motion animation productions for Cola Animation and Sardinha em Lata. He was also responsible for the image and post-production of documentaries for RTP, produced by D&D Audiovisuais and Neptune Puzzle, including "Unidas - United", filmed between Lisbon and Toronto.
